‘Our West Hendon’ featured on BBC

A campaign supported by Community Organiser Paulette Singer hits the news: West Hendon residents come together to fight unfair regeneration and non-secure tenancies.

Our West Hendon’s persistent and tenacious campaigning has now caught the interest of mainstream news and media outlets. They have been featured on the BBC’s The One Show.

Our West Hendon Residents come together to protest in Barnet.

The campaign started with a 1-2-1 listening, followed by a house meeting that gathered 30 people. Our West Hendon was born!  Very quickly the group engaged in several public meetings where housing was being discussed, as well as grew the network in numbers by joining housing activists from across London to lobby the housing committee at The Greater London Authority.  This weekend the campaign gartered thousands of activists who marched in London against unfair housing!

If you want to know more about how it all started please read the story HERE, visit West Hendon Facebook page, and sign their petition.
