Interest in Assemblies is growing as people realise their significance in transforming our representative democracies into more vibrant, participative political spaces.
Our third session in this Introductory Series to Assemblies is on Assembly Design. We share some essential design principles that welcome and engage people to take us towards collective collaboration for shaping our common futures.
Assembly type gatherings can be run locally in neighbourhoods, villages, across towns and cities, but their principles can also be used to transform meetings in the workplace or wherever people get together to explore issues and make decisions.
We will take you through the important questions before you set up an organising schedule for running an assembly, and some steps you can take to practise the key elements of an assembly.
The webinar will give you information and time in breakout groups for you to consider the implications of what you’re learning, and whether it can kickstart or enhance your own assembly journey.
