CO stories booklet launches

We have launched our first ever Community Organisers stories booklet, illustrating the kinds of impacts that community organising can have on individuals and communities.

Since the programme started in 2011, Community Organisers have listened to the views of more than 100,000 people and helped mobilise people to start up over 400 community projects around England.

The booklet includes multiple examples of residents all around England making positive change happen and our Organisers igniting the impulse to act. From saving the local bus service, taking over running a Children’s Centre, setting up a go-kart social enterprise, to starting a social club for older people, organising a neighbourhood fun day or getting the Council to mend a footpath – community organising is helping to bring people together and give them the confidence to tackle the local issues which really matter to them.

This is the first in a series of short publications. Watch this space for more.
