High Trees Community Development Trust

Based in Tulse Hill, Lambeth, High Trees Community Development Trust was founded by local residents in 1998, they have now been delivering projects and services to local people for 25 years.

Rooted in the local community, and guided by community need, they deliver a range of projects and services grouped in five interlinked areas:

Children, Young People and Family Services
Community Education and Training
Employment and Careers
Community Action
Research & Development

The Community Action team works to support residents from Tulse Hill and neighbouring areas to build more active, represented and civically engaged communities. They do this through providing mentoring, practical support and accredited training in Community Organising. They also deliver bespoke Community Organising projects across Lambeth, one of the few organisations that do so. Through this support they help local people take action for themselves on the issues that affect them – in the past three years they’ve trained over 200 people in Community Organising as part of the National Academy of Community Organisers. The team also works closely with all departments to help build user voice, ensuring beneficiaries always remain at the heart of everything they do.
