Facilitation Skills for Peoples Assemblies

The aim of this course is to support participants to develop the skills and confidence needed to run an assembly. Focusing on building trust and empowering community voices, exploring tools for inclusive and reflective participation, and how to move from tension to transformation - navigating conflict with confidence.

The course is made up of six online sessions. Each session will be a mixture of theory, interactive activities and reflection –  exploring listening and facilitation skills for People’s Assemblies.

The sessions include:

  • The Power of Listening in Assemblies
  • Listening is an Active Skill
  • Using Reflective Practice
  • Facilitation Methods and Practice
  • Understanding Conflict
  • Handling Challenging Group Dynamics

When local people come together in inclusive, respectful spaces, they can shape the decisions that affect their lives

Session 5 – Tuesday 11th November  from 12 to 1.30pm

Session 6 – Tuesday 18th November from 12 to 1.30pm
