Hi everyone, my name is Tom Scott and I’m an organiser with ACORN. I’m also the lead organiser for our Social Action Hub in Newcastle.
I first got involved in organising because I was bored of being involved in groups that could talk about what was wrong but nothing ever got done. What I like about organising is that we focus on tangible, measurable results.
I’ve helped set up groups in Heaton, Cruddas Park and across Newcastle. We’ve won campaigns on renters rights, dangerous living conditions, fire safety and discrimination from banks. Please get in touch with any questions!
